Being aware of what your in-home IoT devices are doing and how they’re are or are not secured is hugely important. There’s not enough discussion about this kind of thing in the public domain. Really, it even should be discussed at primary school given that many parents are exposing their infant children to connected technologies from very early ages. Not only do we need to address the technological and security issues around these kinds of devices but also the societal and personal ramifications of their integration into our personal lives.
